Laurabeth Rapaz, Founder of the Master Teachers' Collective, is an educator born and raised in New York City. She graduated from Brown University in 2006 with a B.A. in Theatre Arts. Following her time at Brown, Laurabeth trained at the Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre where she studied Acrobatics, Commedia Dell'arte, and Clown. In 2012 she earned her M.A. in Applied Theatre from the City University of New York's Applied Theatre Program. She also spent 15 years as a professional actress in New York City and toured the country in the National Theatre of London and Lincoln Center Theatre's production of War Horse in 2013.  

As an acting teacher she is dedicated to helping learners bring spontaneity, fun, risk, and most importantly, truth to their creative work.

Laurabeth teaches Performing Arts and Japanese on MTC.
