We'll be talking about Ideas and solutions for finding and fostering a thriving homeschool community. We will discuss the importance of building community including a variety of ways to make connections with local homeschooling families and how volunteering can help you make connections you might otherwise miss. Resources for starting your own group, planning field trips and community events, the significance of Park Days, the value of volunteering, and other ideas for creating a vibrant homeschool community will be shared. We will cover information about legal and logistical concerns for running a homeschool group or co-op, and we’ll be addressing tough issues like how introverts can contribute and create lasting friendships; strategies for dealing with difficult situations concerning those who create disharmony within your group; and overcoming the unique challenges among teen/tween-age youth.
